Sebastian started playing clarinet as a child before taking up bassoon at the age of ten. After studying with Knut Sönstevold at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, he moved to Germany to study with Ole Kristian Dahl at the Mannheim University of Music. In 2015 Sebastian Stevensson worked as solo bassoonist at the Munich Philhamonic under Valerij Gergijev.
