Olle Elfström began his musical career at the age of 9 in his home town of Vadstena, Sweden. Formative studies were on the euphonium before transitioning to the trombone five years later. Olle began studying at Malmö Academy of Music in 2005 under the tutelage of Eric Lindblom.
During 2007, Olle successfully auditioned for principal trombone of the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, and later the same year for a position in the Malmö Opera Orchestra. In 2008 he won his current job as principal trombone of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra. Alongside working in the orchestra, Olle also completed a soloist diploma at the Malmö Academy of Music, culminating in a solo concert in 2012 with the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra.
