Lovisa Wennesz, born in Stockholm, began as early as 11-year-old to play the harp for soloharpist Gertrude Schneider, Uppsala. At age 16 she was admitted at the Falun Conservatory of Music and subsequently continued her studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen with Sonja Gislinge and Cajtriona Yeats as teachers.
Lovisa often appears as a chamber musician and soloist at private events. She has received several awards and honors. For example, the Royal Swedish Academy scholarship, Hugo Alfvén’s scholarship and Queen Ingrid’s medal.
